SYMPHONY AUDITION REQUIRMENTS

Overview

OYS’s most advanced auditioned student orchestra is made up of highly capable string, wind, brass and percussion players through grade 12. Musicians are expected to have developed an advanced range and tone, and be able to play in any key. Vibrato and/or other advanced techniques are required, as music is selected from the standard Symphonic repertoire. Rehearsals are Monday evenings 6:00-8:00 pm, with additional sectionals and dress rehearsals as scheduled.

Financial Commitment

• $15 non-refundable audition fee.
• Tuition is $220 for the 2024-25 concert season.  
• Fees include all instruction, music use and sectional opportunities.
• Limited tuition assistance scholarships are available. Application for consideration can be completed online HERE. Please submit prior to registration for best consideration.
